MWDR is an all-volunteer non-for profit foster based rescue organization that takes their Doxies very seriously. They have carefully built a reputation of high standard for the care, safety, and security of the dogs they represent.   Founded in 2003 this 501(c)3 organization is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and placing homeless and needy dachshunds and dachshund mixes in the Midwest. They continue to try and educate the public about the benefits of adopting through rescue groups.
